Bellissima Productions finished its first season this year, beginning with The Last Five Years in August 2018 at the Alleyway Theatre Cabaret space and concluding with 35MM: A Musical Exhibition at the Marie Maday Theatre.

Jason Robert Brown’s two-actor production follows the love story of struggling performer Cathy Hiatt, and writer-on-the-rise, Jaime Wellerstein, in New York City. Hiatt’s story begins at the relationship’s end and Wellerstein’s, after the couple’s first date.
The musical spans over five years of the couple’s lives, as they work toward their respective dreams, falling into and out of love in the process of the overlapping timelines.
